What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation with altered awareness. It is not sleep or "going under" as it is sometimes mistakenly known. You remain in control and will hear everything that I say to you. Daydreaming is a good example of a natural state of light hypnosis. In professional hypnosis you are an active participant and will safely reach a deep and comfortable state of relaxation.
Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis to help you bring about desired changes in your life, whether that be for stopping smoking and regaining health or losing weight. Other examples include helping to deal with anxiety, panic and phobias and to help the person resume a normal life. The treatment is natural and safe. It does not involve the use of drugs which can have harmful side effects.
Hypnosis has been used widely past and present for helping with pain, but you should always consult your medical doctor or specialist before using hypnosis in this way.
